Study Smart Tutors is a college and career access organization operating throughout the state of California and across the US. Our mission is to help first-generation students in underserved communities realize their college and career dreams by building their confidence and developing their academic and non-academic skills. Study Smart Tutors offers an array of college access courses at no cost to our students or their families. We are able to accomplish this by partnering with schools, outreach programs, and other college and career access organizations to provide efficient and effective college and career access programming. Job Description: The Accounting Clerk will join the operations department and support the operations and sales departments. The position will begin as a part-time position with the opportunity to move to a full-time position. Hours are flexible Monday through Friday. The position is based out of the company s Westlake Village office and will report directly to the Director of Operations. Duties include but are not limited to: Maintain invoice spreadsheetCreate and mail invoices to customersMake collection callsProcess timely payment of invoicesReconcile accounts based on monthly statementsGeneral clerical tasks including maintaining vendor filesClient set-up, invoicing, and communication, including preparing monthly client progress billings using QuickBooks, Excel, and customer-specific forms, as neededRunning commission reportsSemi-monthly payroll
