The Digital Process and Systems Analysis (DPSA) organization plays a key role in supporting Amgen's commercial operations and pipeline development. This cross-functional organization is seeking a Process Development Senior Associate to assist with current and future scientific data projects.The successful candidate will collaborate with business partners, service owners and IS peers to support the implementation and day-to-day support of Electronic Laboratory Notebooks and connected laboratory instrumentation for Amgen's Drug Substance organization. This critical role will work to increase the efficiency, reliability, and agility of Process Development activities.Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with IS and Scientific staff to support and improve Electronic Lab Notebooks systems that collect and organize scientific data.
  • Organize regular training and support sessions on proper recording and collection procedures for laboratory data.
  • Support the needs of a global user organization with several remote locations.
  • Identify new business needs by creating prototypes and demonstrations that integrate data across multiple sources such as Lab Notebooks, Enterprise Data Lakes, structured files.
  • Manage data generated by laboratory instruments and develop of new workflows to advance drug substance development.
  • Participate in testing and verification activities required by the periodic maintenance of validated scientific systems.

    • Master's degree OR
    • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant scientific experiencePreferred Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Applied Physics, Mathematics or Statistics.
      • Prior hands-on experience entering and managing data for lab-scale life-science operations.
      • Experience with validated laboratory computer systems such as Electronic Laboratory Notebooks.
      • Detailed technical proficiency with strong problem solving and decision-making skills, and a desire to learn new scientific and data concepts.
      • Excellent organization/planning skills and talent for managing many complex tasks simultaneously.
      • Solid written and verbal communication skills in English and the ability to present analysis results in a clear, precise, and actionable manner.
      • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
