This role supports complex Swiss machining processes, programming, and continuous improvement initiatives tied to critical medical and aerospace components. \n This is a high-impact position for experienced Swiss machinists who want to lead, mentor, and drive process improvements in a technically advanced shop. \n \n What You’ll Be Doing \n \n Program, set up, and operate CNC Swiss machines for high-precision components \n Develop and optimize machining processes for tight-tolerance parts \n Troubleshoot CNC programs, tooling, and machining issues \n Lead new setup development including tooling, fixtures, and offsets \n Serve as a technical expert and mentor for machinists and operators \n Improve and create work instructions and process documentation \n Collaborate with engineering on fixture design and process improvements \n Perform in-process inspections using precision measurement tools \n Optimize feeds, speeds, and cycle times for efficiency \n Maintain documentation in line with GMP/GDP standards \n Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives \n \n \n Machines, Controls & Materials \n \n Machines: CNC Swiss-type lathes (Star, Tsugami, Citizen, etc.) \n Controls: Fanuc-based Swiss controls \n Materials: Titanium, stainless steel, cobalt chrome, specialty alloys \n \n \n What We’re Looking For Required \n \n 8 years CNC Swiss machining experience \n Strong programming, setup, and troubleshooting ability \n Deep understanding of multi-axis Swiss machining processes \n High school diploma or GED \n Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge \n Ability to lead and mentor other machinists \n \n Preferred \n \n Associate degree or machinist certification \n Experience in medical or aerospace manufacturing \n Experience improving processes, tooling, and cycle times \n \n \n Why Machinists Like Working Here \n \n High-end, clean, climate-controlled facility \n Work on complex, meaningful components \n Strong leadership and engineering support \n Opportunity to lead and influence machining strategy \n Career growth into engineering or supervisory roles \n \n \n Pay & Benefits \n Pay Range: $40 – $54 per hour \n Benefits Include: \n \n Medical, dental, and vision (Day 1) \n 401(k) with company match \n PTO paid holidays \n Career development and advancement opportunities \n \n \n Apply Today \n If you’re a highly experienced Swiss CNC machinist ready to step into a lead-level role, Tecomet Wilmington wants to hear from you. \n Apply now through hireCNC to be considered.
