The company has world class laboratories and facilities, and a highly dynamic, multi-disciplinary work environment. The Senior Semiconductor Development Engineer works closely with other team members in a cleanroom environment to develop and integrate the world's fastest transistors in manufacturable IC processes.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs design, modeling and analysis of compound semiconductor transistor IC technologies, including epitaxy design and process flow development
  • Develops technology roadmaps and integration strategies for advanced compound semiconductor device technologies
  • Assists with transistor characterization and model/PDK development
  • Performs cleanroom process development and process characterization
  • Assists in the transition of technologies from research and manufacturing
  • Interfaces with cleanroom operations group in the development and sustaining of manufacturing processes
  • Interfaces with customers and stakeholders to understand present and future technology requirements
  • Assists in marketing and program capture for relevant development programs with internal and external customers
  • Frequently works with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for tracking and reporting of dataQualifications & Competencies To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:
    • Understanding and skills in semiconductor transistor device design and process development (bipolar or field effect transistors)
    • Knowledge and experience using cleanroom tools such as: electron beam and photolithography, evaporator or sputtered metal systems, dielectric deposition (CVD or ALD), wet and dry etch chemistries and processes, and chemical-mechanical polishing (CMP)
    • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
    • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
    • Advanced computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
    • Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices
    • Ability to travel (domestically/internationally) approximately 10%Education and/or Experience
      • Master's Degree or PhD (preferred) with at least five (5) plus years of experience in semiconductor transistor development (bipolar or field effect transistors)
      • Direct experience in Indium Phosphide or Gallium Nitride material systems
      • Experience with high frequency transistor measurements and modeling Citizenship Requirements Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a U.S. Citizen. Salary Range:$112,200.00 - $188,100.00
