KITCHEN MANAGERThe Stand Restaurants is a fast-casual dining restaurant with 15 locations across Orange County, Los Angeles, and Houston Texas. We are growing fast, with plans to open 3-4 new locations per year. Our tagline "American Classics...Redefined" embodies our menu of high-quality classic American food. We're excited about our growth, and even more excited at the possibility of you joining our team!We are looking for individuals with one + years of kitchen manager experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant or two years as an assistant kitchen managerWe are Looking for kitchen managers that have the following:Outgoing personalities and friendly attitudesAbility to work well with others and lead a teamAn overwhelming desire to go above and beyond to provide a great guest experienceTwo or more years of Assistant Kitchen Management experienceResponsibilities as a Kitchen Manager:Training and mentoring kitchen team membersEnsuring meal segment efficiency and productionsFood purchasing and managing food budgetsEnsuring consistency and portioning of all food productsMonitoring and ensuring upkeep, repair, and maintenance of all kitchen equipmentKitchen Manager Required Skills:Salad, fry, grill and expo experienceAbility to oversee daily prep listsDisplay high-functioning organizational skillsAbility to order according to budget/pars and ensure delivery receipt from vendorsProactive, punctual, and a great communication skillPositive attitude and ready for a challengeEssential FunctionsBeing a team player and showing efficient communication skillsExemplifying our mission and culturePreparing food items as needed in a sanitary and timely mannerFollowing recipes and presentation specificationsOperating standard kitchen equipment safely and efficientlyCleaning and maintaining a station by practicing good safety and sanitation procedures and protocols as needed* Must be 18 years of age or olderWorking ConditionsFrequent walking and standing for long periods of timeAbility to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedlyRepetitive bending, twisting, squatting, and reachingRepetitive use of hands, including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pullingOccasionally access high storage shelving with the use of a step ladderLift and carry up to 50 lbs.Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicalsExposure to varying temperatures, including steam, high kitchen temperatures, humidity, freezers, refrigerators, indoor air conditioning and outdoor/patio conditionsScheduleFull-timeFive days a week, including weekends and holidays, approximately 40-45 hours per weekPerks/BenefitsCompetitive compensationParticipation in The Stand tip pool, with average tips of approximately $3 - $4 per hourMonthly cell phone allowanceDiscretionary bonusesHealth, Dental and Vision Plans for Team Members who qualify401K Program (for those who qualify)Meal discountsOpportunities for career advancement as we love to promote from withinWe are an equal opportunity employer, and also consider all qualified applicants regardless of criminal history in accordance with the City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative For Hiring Ordinance and the State of California's Fair Chance Act.* Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
