DATA SCIENCE MANAGER - ZS DiscoveryZS managers help initiate and grow client relationships, develop thought leadership, and manage projects and programs. In Discovery, ZS brings to our clients deep expertise on the integration and analysis of multimodal data including annotation, curation, and harmonization of the data. Of special interest are semantic and generative AI approaches to more effectively leveraging diverse and unstructured data. The group also has a significant focus in target and biomarker discovery utilizing diverse data and in computational phenotyping. You will work closely with other Discovery and AI leaders on business development, growing our client awareness and presence, leading client relationships, selling AI solutions, and delivering high impact projects. As part of the role, you will help manage a global AI delivery team, promote ZS's capabilities in the industry, and develop new capabilities for this space.Responsibilities:

• Shape and grow ZS's AI capabilities in pharmaceutical discovery working with ZS Discovery and AI leadership;
• Work closely with ZS's clients to sell and deliver high impact projects;
• Build and lead a team of data scientists to design and execute these projects;
• Develop and lead AI offerings for our clients in research;
• Translate results into compelling thought leadership presentations at industry conferences and articles for leading journals;Qualifications:
• PhD degree in AI related discipline or pharmaceutical research related discipline plus 6+ years of relevant post-PhD work experience or 10+ years of relevant post-collegiate job experience;
• Domain experience applying AI in the context of biomedical and/or pharmaceutical research;
• Experience developing solutions for AI areas of interest (e.g., NLP, Gen AI, LLMs, Knowledge graphs) in industry and/or academic settings;
• Experience presenting work at conferences and publishing;
• Relevant programming experience (Python preferred);
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
• Strong attention to detail;
