Assignment Length = 8 Weeks Description of job: The Surgical
Technologist provides critical support to the surgical team by
ensuring the operating room is properly prepared, maintaining a
sterile environment, and assisting during surgical procedures. The
Surg Tech plays a key role in patient safety, efficiency, and
successful surgical outcomes. Qualifications: Graduate of an
accredited Surgical Technology program Certification as a Surgical
Technologist (CST) Minimum of 1 year of recent surgical
technologist experience preferred Current BLS certification
required Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, procedures,
and aseptic technique Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced,
team-oriented environment Responsibilities: Prepare operating rooms
by setting up instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies Maintain
strict sterile technique and adhere to infection control standards
throughout procedures Assist surgeons by passing instruments,
sutures, and supplies during surgical cases Anticipate the needs of
the surgeon and surgical team to promote efficiency and safety
Perform surgical counts of instruments, sponges, and sharps before,
during, and after procedures Assist with patient positioning, skin
preparation, and draping Handle specimens appropriately and ensure
accurate labeling and transport Clean, restock, and prepare
operating rooms for subsequent cases Document procedures and
supplies used according to facility policy Comply with all hospital
policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards
