Job Description Job Description Job Title: Travel RN - Infection Prevention Location: San Luis Obispo, California Department/Unit: Infection Prevention Salary Range: $50 to $70 per hour Shift: Day Shift (5 x 8-hour shifts) Duration: 13 weeks (Contract) Job Description Elitecare Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced and dedicated Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Infection Prevention for a contract position in San Luis Obispo, California. This role is vital for implementing and monitoring infection prevention strategies to ensure patient and staff safety. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention policies and procedures in accordance with current regulations and best practices. Conduct surveillance of healthcare-associated infections and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Educate staff, patients, and families on infection prevention practices and protocols. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote a culture of safety and infection control within the facility. Perform regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with infection prevention standards. Provide recommendations for improving infection control practices based on evidence-based guidelines. Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a focus on infection prevention preferred. Certification in Infection Control (CIC) or equivalent is highly desirable. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
