Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct and
comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Progressive Care
setting. Guided by professional standards and hospital policies,
the RN ensures quality outcomes through assessment, planning,
intervention, and evaluation, while promoting patient safety,
education, and recovery. Key Responsibilities Apply the nursing
process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Perform and document comprehensive assessments addressing physical,
psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs. Monitor and manage
acutely ill patients, including those requiring advanced cardiac
monitoring, ventilator support, and IV medication administration.
Ensure safe use of medical equipment and adherence to infection
prevention protocols. Collaborate effectively with
interdisciplinary teams, physicians, and families to coordinate and
improve care outcomes. Support patient and family education,
discharge planning, and continuity of care. Maintain professional
conduct and uphold the organization s commitment to ethical and
safe practice. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited
nursing program; associate degree or higher required. Experience:
Two years of acute care experience preferred; new graduates
considered with appropriate training. Licensure/Certifications:
Current California Registered Nursing license BLS and ACLS required
(PALS preferred for applicable units) Specialty certifications
(e.g., CCRN, Med/Surg) preferred Skills and Abilities Proficient in
patient assessment, critical thinking, and clinical
decision-making. Ability to operate advanced medical equipment
safely and accurately. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and
communication skills. Capacity to perform effectively under stress
