Required Skills: Board-certified or eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN) or Family Medicine with OB specialization Active California medical license, or ability to obtain one promptly Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills Ability to work independently and efficiently in a hospital setting Up-to-date knowledge of OB protocols, procedures, and emergency obstetric practices Strong professionalism and commitment to patient-centered care Nice to Have Skills: Previous hospitalist or locum tenens experience Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish Additional certifications such as ACLS, NRP, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO from an accredited medical school Minimum of 2 years ofOB hospitalist or inpatient OB/GYN experience in a hospital setting Current ACLS, NRP certification preferred Other Requirements: Must hold or be eligible for a California medical license Ability to travel to Bakersfield, CA, if not local Commitment to accommodating variable shift schedules, including nights and weekends Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) This position offers an hourly pay rate of $195.00 , providing competitive compensation for your expertise and dedication.
