Performs a variety of duties related to the preparation and serving
of meals to ensure quality and customer satisfaction. ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Responsible for all kitchen, food,
and serving supplies, including ordering, receiving, and storage.
2. Maintains kitchen in clean and sanitary condition. 3. Takes food
temperatures as required and maintains temperature control chart.
4. Maintains high standards of personal hygiene and food handling
techniques. 5. Attends and participates in all mandatory training
sessions and meetings as prescribed by the Site Manager and/or
administrative personnel. 6. Checks food upon its arrival for
accurate delivery and completes meal preparation as menu
prescribes. 7. Ensures that everything in kitchen is cleaned up and
that all food and serving supplies are locked up at the end of each
program day. 8. Practices safe operating procedures and observe all
safety regulations and precautions as prescribed by Community
SeniorServ. 9. Supervises food service volunteers and support
staff. 10. Performs other duties and assignments related to this
job as deemed necessary and appropriate by the Site Manager.
Requirements: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: ? Previous
experience in ordering, storage, preparation and serving of food. ?
Able to work independently, with a minimum of supervision, and
works well under pressure. ? Must pass post-offer physical.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: ? Constantly remains in a stationary
position and traverses locations. ? Constantly operates equipment,
computers, or tools. ? Constantly extends body, arms or hands as
needed to perform essential duties and responsibilities. ?
