Position Summary: Internal Communications Lead The Guitar Center Company is seeking an Internal Communications Lead. This person should be, at different times, a writer, project manager, critical/creative thinker, innovative, storyteller, and communication authority. A successful candidate will be collaborative, passionate, high energy, organized, articulate, and able to distill messages. You will be an expert in multi-channel communications with a background in digital communications platforms. This role will help drive associate engagement through effective communications to the Guitar Center Company family of brands; this will be done through maintaining an effective digital communications platform, inclusive of developing an editorial calendar, writing stories, writing and distributing company-wide communications; and providing content and event support for Enterprise-wide events, such as Town Halls (when deemed safe). Additionally, this role will assist in the development of content for LinkedIn with a focus on employer branding. Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following: Drive communication initiatives within the organization around our strategic pillars. In collaboration with subject matter experts across the Company, identify, write, edit, publish and deliver impactful communications to our Associates. Work closely with the Microsoft Office 365 team to fully develop and utilize intranet design and functionality. Drive employee engagement by keeping employees informed and reinforcing the company values and vision. Monitor and measure impact of associate communications programs and initiatives with internal audiences. Make recommendations as needed to ensure communications goals are achieved. Develop and communicate quantitative and qualitative metrics evaluating effectiveness of content. Lead in the Director's absence and be a voice for the team. Coach and mentor other members on the team. Support internal digital events and in person events (when deemed safe).
