Position/Job Summary: The Social Worker provides clinical
counseling and consulting services to patients, families and staff
members and assists in facilitating the development of new and
expanded social work services and programs within the hospital.
Referrals are made by physicians' nurses, other hospital personnel,
community social agencies or patients and their families.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND LICENSING:
Performance Requirements - Ability to demonstrate the
integration of clinical social work theory into practice by
appropriately utilizing clinical knowledge of bio-psychosocial
developmental states, personality development, human behavior, etc.
to formulate assessment, direct treatment, and provide consultation
and education to other team members
Education - Master's Degree in Social Work
Licensure - Current Clinical Social Work License preferred.
Experience - 2-4 years acute care medical social work experience
